Taking Risk
Trekking to the mountain for the first time is an adventurous activity that I have taken a part in. It was on 2018, when I went to the mountain with my friends. We decided to go away from the city because it was the weekend. I went with six friends, two girls and four boys. The mountain is called "Budug Asu", the height is around 2000 meters above sea level (MSAL), located in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. For some people, that is only a small mountain and it has an easy track, but as a first timer it is not.

Before starting the journey, we prepared a lot of things. We divided the stuff that we need to each bag. The girls brought their own sleeping bag, clothes, a bottle of mineral water, and foods for all. The boys brought some heavy stuff such as tents, hammocks, cooking tools, and a lot of bottled water. We started the journey at night, around 11 pm from my friend's house to a place called "Wonosari" by motorbike. After registering ourselves at the register station, we started to walk. We could not really see the track and just walked, along with the sound of the water from the river near us. The track started to slope upward around 80 degrees and I realised we started to climb. It was very hard to climb with the help of one rope. I slipped and almost fell down. One of my friends even felt so mad at that time because we took so long to climb.
After five hours walking and climbing, we finally reached the top. It was exhausting, but the scenery was breathtaking. I felt our hard work really paid off. The view on the way back was also amazing --the track is surrounded by pine trees. It was my adventurous activity.
