How I spend

This is a fiction story that I made about 'How I spend my money'

I was 22 years old when I got my first job as an accountant. My boss and colleagues were nice to me and the salary was above the standard. After four years working, I decided to get married. Since my husband and I had more than enough money, we thought about having a baby. When my first baby daughter was born, our expenses became uncontrolled. Honestly, I think we didn't prepare it well. There are tons of costs to consider: baby furniture, clothes, nappies, wipes, baby formula, toys, childcare, etc.
As a mum and an accountant, I have to find a way to meet the needs of my family every month. However, I still manage to put aside some money for savings. After five years of scraping by, I thought about running my own business by dipping into my savings. Since I didn’t want to quit my jobs, I thought about starting an online business. I started to sell pet food and pet accessories because there weren’t many people selling such products at that time. The business started to grow. Then, I wanted to expand my business –making my own pet clothes. I started to design the clothes and gave the design to my aunt who worked as a tailor to create them.
Two years after running an online business, I decided to open my first shop. That wasn’t a smooth journey because I had to keep an eye for the shop, manage to pay my employees, taxes, and also the shop rent. After seven years, I felt my hard work starting to pay off. Today, I have ten offline shops in two cities with total income $50.000 per month. That’s a huge amount of money isn’t it?, But don’t forget that the more income you have doesn’t mean you can spend it freely. I still have to manage my money to pay the rent of all my shop, employees, taxes, bills, and of course my family expenses.
